Teaching Adolescent Literacy Toolkit

This toolkit provides resources, activities, protocols, and frameworks to support teaching striving adolescents to read and write. It includes support with understanding who adolescent learners are, how to provide students with appropriate intervention, and scaling supports for a school and districtwide approach to adolescent literacy instruction. The toolkit includes activities for instruction in word recognition (decoding), word knowledge (vocabulary), sentence analysis (grammar), and verbal reasoning (comprehension).
